Athens & Outskirts
In Athens we stayed in Plaka to start our trip. Near the b&b we stayed at there was Place Filomousou Eterias. It was a little park surrounded by restaurants. Our first meal was at Estia while we were waiting for our b&b to open up. We all had our luggage and they accomedated well. The food was good, but our dinner that night at Ionos was very good. It was also in the same park right by where we stayed. The next day we grabbed breakfast at Salt or Sugar close to where we stayed. We ended up going there both mornings we were in Athens as the pies and lattes were great. That day we went to the Acropolis and it's museum. After we did the Acropolis we grabbed a quick at Mikro Politiko. The food was simple but amazing. The sausages were moist and extremely flavorful. We then went to the museum and grabbed lunch after at Bairaktaris. The food was good, portions were montsrous. For dinner that night we went to Anefani and ate on their patio. The food was excellent across the board. The mushrooms were roasted perfectly, the saganaki was light and creamy, and the seafood platter superb. The marinated octopus was perfectly seasoned and the mussels were cooked with a bit of dill.
Outskirts of Athens
When leaving to start our island hopping part of the vacation we had lunch at Port Rafina. Palia Rafina a wonderful suprise while waiting for our ferry to start the island hopping part of the trip. All the food was amazing, but the fried zucchini stood out above the rest. Super crispy and light that went perfectly with the garlic tzatziki. When returning from Sifnos we stayed in Spata on the outskirts of the airport. We went to Ataka to grab a light lunch after traveling all morning then went to dinner at Pame Plateia. The food at Pame Plateia was simple and incredibly good, but the portion size at Pame Plateia was incredible.
